O.k. admit it. It's every parents nightmare.......A SNOW DAY. Yup that's right, snow day. The kids get a "get out of jail free card" and parents are going "oh no the kids are home from school ALL DAY".
It all started with school being postponed for a couple of hours but when the news came in that school had in fact been canceled for the day it was squeals of glee and jumps of joy. BB & LB loved playing it. LB's favorite thing was eating the snow. He said it was yummy!!!
Well it wasn't all that bad. Over night we got around 2 inches of the powdery white stuff. Being from Georgia, the snow we usually got was also mixed with a lot of ice, which meant slick roads, snapped tree limbs and power outages. Here, in New Mexico, it was truly the powdery kind of snow. Great for making snowballs and having lots of fun.
All in all, our first snow day here in NM wasn't all that bad. We were able to stay home, have fun in the snow, and just enjoy the day. So far we've had no more of the white stuff, but who knows...the winter is just getting underway. There may be more snow days to come.

Hated the cold but the snow was wonderful and so much fun =)
